Jamon Serrano or Serrano ham is the traditional Spanish country ham that you see in just about every bar and restaurant in Spain. This boneless version is much easier to slice, and is ideal for use in an electric slicer, especially when you're not an experienced ham slicer - this might be the best way to go and avoid injuries and embarrassment.
A whole bone-in ham may be more dramatic and authentic, but a boneless ham is actually more economical. Each Redondo Iglesias Serrano ham is dry-cured for over a year, which allows enough time for the flavors to interact and mature.
