P'tit Basque is a very nice French sheep's milk cheese; a small cylindrical shaped cheese of approximately 1.5 pounds. It is produced in the Pyrenees Mountains, the mountains range between France and Spain.
This French gourmet cheese is made with pasteurized sheep's milk, has a semi-soft, moist and pale interior. The cheese's aroma is that of brown butter and caramel. Its flavor is creamy and sweet with some saltiness.
The cylindrical form of this cheese makes it a great alternative to Tete de Moine when you want to use the cheese curler or Girolle. P'tit Basque also makes lovely little curls.
